Driving In for Christmas Movies

Following the success of their Hallowe’en-themed weekend of Drive-in Movies, Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) and Unique Events can now confirm the dates and titles for a special Christmas-themed movie event. From Friday 18 December until Wednesday 23 December, some all-time favourite Christmas titles and blockbusters such as Home Alone; Frozen; Elf; Love Actually; It’s A Wonderful Life andDie Hard will be shown on a state of the art 100sqm LED screen that’s one of the largest mobile screens in the world.

At the Hallowe’en events, audiences had the choice of award-winning food and drink from local producers Cold Town Beer and Alandas and had DJ Captain Calverto as their MC, keeping everyone entertained before the start of each film with car discos, singalongs and quizzes.

Scottish Government’s health and safety regulations and advice will continue to be followed by Drive-in Movies for future screenings so everyone taking part can relax and enjoy the experience.

The November selection, that takes place from 26th to 29th November, includes Back to the Future (1985); Big Trouble in Little China (1986); Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986); Toy Story (1995), Mean Girls (2004); Drive(2011), Mamma Mia! (2008); Blackkklansman(2018); Incredibles 2 (2018) and Rocketman(2019).
