Come Down the Mile: Poetry Walks in Edinburgh’s Old Town

For several years, Edinburgh based poet Ken Cockburn, who established Edinburgh Poetry Tours, has been leading poetry walks in the Auld Toun during the Edinburgh Festival and this year sees him continuing that tradition.

Ken is a well-respected writer and translator who has read his work at venues and events both across the UK and abroad. He has worked collaboratively with artists across genres and has been a long term collaborator with fellow poet Alec Finlay.

Get yourselves away from the madding crowd this August for an enlightening Festival  (and pre fest)  experience!

Tour dates are as follows:

Friday 21st July at 2.30pm
Saturday 22nd July at 11.00am
Both walks start outside St Giles Cathedral

Friday 11th August at 2.30pm
Saturday 12th August  at 11.00am
Both walks start outside the Canongate Kirk
