Leith based performing arts group and registered charity, that encourages older writers and creatives, announce their latest project. From the pen of Edinburgh writer Carolyn Lincoln, who is a former Glasgow Herald staff journalist, radio ‘soap’ writer and occasional contributor to The Scotsman, they present Nan & Rita and the Dear Departed. Set before Brexit and Covid, the piece features two feisty widows in the winter of their lives who think it might as well be Spring!
The performance will star actors Lynne McCallum and Estrid Barton, known for their TV roles, who will reprise the characters Nan and Rita from the 2018 success Nan & Rita and the Holy Grail.
The lunchtime performance will take the format of the popular PLAY, PIE AND DOCKERS PINT format so please arrive at Leith Dockers Club at 12:30 for your pie and drink as the performance starts at 1pm. Make sure you allow for extra travelling time because of the current tram works.
