Award Winning Comic Bridget Christie to Tour New Show Who Am I?

The name Bridget Christie is one well known in the UK comedy circuit, as well as being heard regularly on the airwaves of BBC radio 4. This winner of multiple awards, not least being the Edinburgh Comedy Award, Rose DOr and South Bank Sky Arts Award, brings a straight out the oven show on tour across the UK this Autumn, that includes 4 Scottish dates.

Who Am I?  will be number 13 in Bridget’s show list, with previous ones including Soho Theatre’s best-selling show ever, A Bic For Her, that won the Fosters Award for Best Show at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival as well as a South Bank Sky Arts Award. Her Brexit-themed show, Because You Demanded It, won the Chortle Award for Best Show and was named by The Guardian as the No. 1 Comedy of the Year in 2016.

She has a BBC Radio 4 series called Mortal, available currently on BBC Sounds, that is   a personal lockdown audio diary recorded by Bridget at home and in the park, that got a 4-star review from Chortle and in 2019 she became the 14th curator of Radio 4’s The Museum of Curiosity.

Also on BBC Radio 4 was her series Bridget Christie Minds the Gap thatwon Best Radio Series at the 2014 Chortle Awards, Best Radio Comedy at the 2014 Rose D’Or awards, and a Chortle Award for best radio programme in 2015.

In 2016, Bridget recorded her debut stand-up special Stand Up For Her that was released direct to Netflix in 2017, making her the first British female stand-up on the streaming service. She has entered the world of literature with A Book for Her that receive critical acclaim and was nominated for a Chortle Award. 

This  Amazonian in the world of comedy has also starred in a number of TV shows, including QI, Ghosts, Cardinal Burns, Harry Hills Alien Fun Capsule, Anna and Katy, Have I Got News for You, Room 101 and Kevin Eldon’s show Its Kevin, as well as headlining at  Leeds and Reading festivals.
