Arts charity and year-round cultural hub, Summerhall Arts, announces the first seven shows of its 2026 festival programme. The first batch of shows in Summerhall Arts 2026 programme spans theatre, dance, circus, music and storytelling from artists and companies hailing from Scotland, Afghanistan, Denmark, England, Italy and the United States.
Acclaimed Glasgow-based theatre company Wonder Fools premieres Tether 인연 – a new collaboration with South Korea’s Theatre SAN- that is part ceilidh, part storytelling and an all-round good night out.
Award-winning company YESYESNONO returns to with a brand new storytelling show by Sam Ward as does Danish art company HIMHERANDIT with physical theatre show GOOD ENOUGH?
Keith Alessi is back with Tomatoes Tried to Kill Me but Banjos Saved My Life for a fourth festival having raised over $1.2m dollars for various charities and all proceeds from the 2026 run will contribute to Summerhall Arts.
Devon-based company Kook Ensemble brings SAND, a new non-verbal circus theatre show exploring the lives of people living with Dementia.
New to Edinburgh is Beatrice Festi and TeatroE ETS who bring a new solo performance with PUTTANA and Afghan theatremaker Mariann Yar also brings her solo show with LANDSFRAU, a story of a life shaped by war and distance.
This is the first of three programme announcements ahead of this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the remainder of Summerhall Arts’ festival programme will be announced on 31st March and 6th May.
