The Brunton theatre in Musselburgh is delighted to announce a return to live theatre for 2022. While the popular East Lothian venue has continued to provide National Theatre screenings when Covid restrictions have allowed, it is now ready to welcome several professional theatre companies back to their stage.
An eclectic programme of plays starting in March includes Fringe Festival hits The Gardener from Acrylic, an intimate portrait of amateur gardening and of a life-time spent in love, and Scot Squad star Jack Docherty in Nothing But, a tender yet darkly comic tale about lost youth, infatuation, fatherhood, sex and secrets.
Scottish Theatre Producers in association with Beacon Arts Centre present Stand By, a unique performance, where audiences are asked to wear single-earpiece headphones, to tell this urgent story in a multi-sensory way.
Aerial artists Paper Doll Militia captivate with their trademark performance of a new production of Egg while Rapture Theatre return with their lunchtime theatre Rapture Bites in the form of the musical romp A Night in the Ukraine.
Captivate Theatre bring their version of the award-winning play by Richard Bean One Man, Two Guvnors, a comedy with satire, slapstick and live music.
